Come be an English teacher at Face to Face English School

The best place for the best teachers.

Are you an English teacher in the Philippines looking for a good job with a good company?  Are you tired of working for companies that don’t value your contributions? Or even worse, if you work at one of MANY English schools, don’t pay you on time, don’t pay the right amount, give unfair deductions, or expect way more than is reasonable from you? Try Face to Face English school.   We’re owned by an American and a Japanese, so we’re different. Teacher Matt, our head teacher and co-founder is from Utah, in the United States, and has been an English teacher for years.  He knows how hard you work, and thinks you should be rewarded for it. Sir Jun, our business manager and co-founder is from Osaka, in Japan, and has been studying English with Filipino teachers for a long time, so he knows how helpful you are, and believes you should be rewarded for it. You get to live in Tagaytay (with free rent and food) and make great friends from around the world.  You get to earn money by having fun and helping people.  You get a great job, with great co-workers, at a great company. Face to Face English School is a different kind of company for a different kind of Teacher.  Take a look at what we offer.

Where will I live?

That’s a good question, too! We have an awesome staff house for our teachers.  It’s right in the center of Tagaytay, very close to Olivares and the rotunda.  It has very big bedrooms, and each room has its own bathroom.  There’s also some HUGE common spaces where you can cook, talk, or just hang out with your fellow teachers.  Take a look at some of these pictures! Where will I work?

Another good question! A short ride away is our School building and home for students.  Called Dragon house it’s a huge home.  This is where you will work, eat lunch and dinner, and make friends with students from all over the world.  We encourage our teachers to make friends with their students and have fun hanging out with them at school or outside.  You can stay at the school talking, playing games, or hanging out until late at night if you want.  It’s a pretty nice place, too.  Take a look! Are there any other perks?

Wow! You’re full of good questions today!  YES, there are! We offer regularization, performance based incentives, bonuses and raises, and even a health card to qualified individuals!  We’re even working to get you a discount card to local attractions! We take care of you.

What is there to do in Tagaytay?

Really?  You don’t know?  Tagaytay is awesome.  Of course there’s the cool climate, but there’s also tons to do.  Nice restaurants, amusement parks, camping, horseback riding, shopping, you name it!  There’s a reason everyone wants to live there.  Now YOU can!  All your friends will be jealous. What skills do I need?

Of course we’re looking for good teachers.  People with experience and certifications get rewarded with extra pay and other perks. Good English is a must.  The ability to teach is just as important.  You need to be able to make English fun and exciting for students that will focus on learning English for weeks at a time. Being friendly and sincerely interested in your students and their English learning is also very necessary. Other than that, there aren’t that many requirement.  If you can do these things, then we want you as a teacher at Face to Face English School. Special consideration is given to Nursing graduates, English Graduates and Education graduates, and people who have at least 1 year experience teaching English.

Where’s the interview, and what will it be like?

We realize you might be the perfect teacher for us, but not live in Tagaytay.  Because of this we’ll be having interviews near Clark Pampanga, in Metro Manila, and also in Tagaytay.  Details of exact location and times will be given to interviewees The interview will probably be a lot like other English teaching interviews you may have done.  There will be questions about situations you may face and your background, there may be a short role-play, and there will probably be a short teaching demonstration.  Don’t worry too much.  The Interviewer is also an experienced English teacher, so if you have the skills, he’ll be able to see it even if you are nervous.
