Travelling around Tagaytay By Em2019年10月13日

Good day everyone! My name is Teacher EM. For this blog I’m going to talk about travelling around Tagaytay City during the weekends. You may ask, “What do you mean about travelling around the city?” you see, travelling around the city during the weekdays and during the weekends or holidays is totally different, as the city has set up specific routes around the school vicinity that can be very confusing to both Filipinos and F2F students alike. Let’s discuss and try to understand more about these routes. For us to understand it better. There are 2 main roads that are being used around the school:

**Emilio Aguinaldo highway (Casino Road)        **Mahogany Avenue (NBI Road)

(TWO WAY SCHEME) Regular Weekday Route

During Mondays thru Fridays (except Holidays), our start point is going to be the village gate (Tagaytay Heights Main Gate) “TWO WAY SCHEME” is being implemented, both roads can be used:

Mahogany Avenue (NBI Road)

Going to Batangas (Savemore supermarket, Tagaytay Mini Zoo, etc…)

Going to Manila (Ayala Serin Mall, Fora Mall, Olivares)

Emilio Aguinaldo highway (Casino Road)

Going to Batangas (Savemore supermarket, Tagaytay Mini Zoo, etc…)

Going to Manila (Ayala Serin Mall, Fora Mall, Olivares)

With all public and transportation vehicles available (tricycles, jeepneys and buses) anyone can easily get a ride just by standing beside the road, waving their hands for a public transportation vehicle to stop, this is the usual way that everyone go around the area.

(ONE WAY SCHEME) Regular Weekends and Holidays Route

During all the weekends and holidays, our start point is going to be the village gate (Tagaytay Heights Main Gate) “ONE WAY SCHEME” is being implemented from 6 am until 11 pm the entire weekend or the entire holiday, each road is used specifically going on only one specific direction:

Mahogany Avenue (NBI Road)

ONLY Going to Batangas (Savemore supermarket, Tagaytay Mini Zoo, etc…)

Emilio Aguinaldo highway (Casino Road)

ONLY Going to Manila (Ayala Serin Mall, Fora Mall, Olivares)

During this time, all public and private transport vehicles must follow the scheme, it is somehow troublesome but everyone needs to follow, so students, plan your weekends ahead of time because going around the city may be a bit of trouble but everything can be okay if you plan ahead.

Looking at this map, it will show us the “ONE WAY SCHEME” that is being implemented during “Regular Weekends and Holidays”
