My name is Karen.I have been teaching English online for more than 8 years now. I cater to Korean, Taiwanese and Japanese learners of English. I handled all level of students from beginners to advanced level. I have taught IELTS and TOEIC. I also specialized in business topics and daily conversation.I was graduated from Lipa City Colleges with a degree in Business Management. I like going to the beach and snorkel on my free time.I enjoy watching American tv shows and reading stories online. I hope to meet new people and share ideas with them using the Universal language which is English.I don’t believe of in language barrier, I think we all have the capacity to share ideas using common beliefs. People should not be confined in their comfort zone, Instead they should explore the world to learn new things.

I achieved my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Angeles University Foundation in 2006 and I have also completed some units relating to a Master of Science in Nursing at the University of the East in 2007.I began teaching ESL in 2008, and I have enjoyed it ever since. I have taught a variety of classes in English such as Reading, Speaking, Listening, Writing, Grammar, Medical English, Business English, IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, Public Speaking, and American Accent Training.I believe I have the knowledge, skills, and attitude of an effective and efficient teacher. I am Bryan. I teach mainly grammar and speaking seeing that many learners tend to be conscious in grammar when they speak. I decided to change my major from engineering to English when I was in college. At that time, I was really fascinated by the creative and elaborate construction of English language from words to sentences, to paragraphs, to what have you. It also amused me how we can express our thoughts using the international language—whether through a single word or lengthy paragraphs. After I finished Bachelor of Arts in English, I taught English to elementary students, exercised my communication skills with British, and taught English as second language to Asians. In all of these, I was able to find myself loving teaching the international language more and more. And through all of these, I always had English as my first language. I guess I can’t be 1-meter away from that language anywhere I go.

I’m a person who is positive about every aspect of life. There are many things I like to do, to see, and to experience. I like to read, I like to write; I like to think, I like to dream; I like to talk, I like to listen, I like people, I like to laugh, and I want to share these things with you. My teaching style is based upon the request of the student, for example it is often hard for students to understand why a certain topic is important to them. I try to use lots of examples in class that show why you need to understand something. If they can see how they will use the language in their everyday lives, then that might help. Having them do everyday tasks (dialogues, situations, etc.) might help them see the relevance. Here in F2F, teachers make a conversation with students every day, we can boost their self-esteem, improve their knowledge, and increase their desire and willingness to study English successfully toward their goals.
